The three basic type of ovarian cancer that the gynecological oncologist is expert in treating are germ cell tumors which occurs in the cells of the egg and is common in young ladies, stromal cell tumors occur in the harmone producing tissues which is responsible for holding the ovaries together and epithelial tumors is the most common type of cancer which occurs in the epithelial lining of the ovaries.
